If you want steps to take to strengthen good relationships and heal difficult ones, this book is for you. Learn to create a more solid sense of self and more intimate connectedness with others. A very enlightening book on a subject not often talked about - intimacy. How to Master Change in Your Life: 67 Ways to Handle Lifes Toughest Moments, Mary Carroll Moore, 1997. If you are experiencing any kind of major life change, this book can offer real-life help. This book touches the core of ones inner self, no matter what your religion or philosophy. Fabulous insights on attaining authentic power rich in spirit and grace. Emotional Intelligence: Why it Can Matter More Than IQ, Daniel Goleman, 1995. If you are interested in deepening your understanding of emotions, this is a great resource. One of the few books I havent yet read cover to cover, however the content is important and and Ive received numerous glowing recommendations. Emotional intelligence includes self-awareness and impulse control, persistence, zeal and self-motivation, empathy and social deftness. These are also the hallmarks of character and self-discipline, of altruism and compassion basic capacities needed if our society is to thrive. |
