No Greater Love: Being An Extraordinary Mom, Loren Slocum, 1999.  This exceptional book helps new moms and dads accomplish two of the most important goals of parenting: to get connected and enjoy their baby.  Loren is an amazing mom to Josua, who I’ve personally seen in action.  She offers powerful questions “Mommy Morning Questions” and “Mommy Evening Questions”, designed to bring you closer to your child each day.  Also a hit are the “Mommy Problem Solving Questions”.   A beautiful book with magical photos and a lifetime of memories.  A Mommy Must.  Also a great gift.

Mama Drama: Making Peace with the One Woman Who Can Push Your Buttons, Make You Cry, and Drive You Crazy, Denise McGregor, 1998.  If you experience conflict, strain and stress with your mom, this book will guide you to a better understanding of your relationship, and offer lots of practical tools to strengthen your relationship, and get your needs met.  The first book I’ve read that also addresses aging parents and dealing with the process of dying, death and grieving.  This book offered me tremendous insight and peace around this sometimes difficult to understand subject.
